DeKALB – One Huskies tight end has put separation between himself and the rest of the pack in terms of showing game-readiness, and he’s doing it with his feet first.
Mitchell Brinkman’s fall practice performance has given Northern Illinois certainty at a deep tight end position group.
“He’s trusting his feet,” Huskies tight end coach Tony Sorrentino said. “We harp a lot on obviously being tough in the run game, but, obviously, being able to separate in the pass game. He takes coaching really well. He really understands his feet will create the separation.”
