DeKALB – The City of DeKalb is now finished with fall leaf collection for 2019, according to a news release from the Public Works Department.
The second and final cycle of leaf collection was completed Monday, though crews will continue to clean up through the rest of the week, according to the release.
Cleanup will include collecting leaf piles that have been previously blocked by parked cars, or which couldn’t be picked up for other reasons, weather permitting, according to the release.
Residents are reminded to avoid parking in front of leaf piles so they can be picked up through the rest of the week.
Leaves not raked and placed by a curb by
7 a.m. Monday likely were not collected in the final cycle, according to the release.
Any leaves left at a curb after this week should be moved onto the parkway to avoid flooding roadways.
