DeKalb library to host Middle School Family Night


DeKALB – What can the DeKalb Public Library offer your teenager? Come find out during Middle School Family Night from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday.

This special night for middle school students and their families is a collaboration between District 428 middle schools and the library. The event will include:

• A tour of the library, including an introduction to the Teen Room.

• The opportunity to sign up for library cards for the whole family. Parents or caregivers must bring their current driver’s license or state ID which shows their DeKalb address and be assisted at the Circulation desk.

• Information about the Teen Summer Reading Club and prizes and fun programs scheduled this summer.

• Free pizza provided by Clinton-Rosette Middle School and Huntley Middle School.

This free program is intended for middle school students and their families. Registration is not required. The library is at 309 Oak St.
