DeKALB – After allowing an alcohol vendor to operate during the last DeKalb Municipal Band concert of 2017, the DeKalb Park Board will discuss the idea of setting its own permitting policy for alcohol sales during its Wednesday meeting.

The meeting will begin at 6 p.m. with a study session at the Ellwood House Visitors Center, 509 N. First St.

The one-time service of alcohol was approved by the park board during its last concert of 2017, a policy that was received favorably by concertgoers.

At 7 p.m., there will also be a public hearing to receive public comments on the proposed budget and appropriations ordinance for the district’s fiscal 2019 starting March 1 and ending Feb. 28 of next year.
