Beebe is a team-first player. Individual success doesn’t matter. But Saturday, he was a key cog in the Northern Illinois offensive machine.
He helped the Huskies turn out their best offensive game of the season, tallying 577 yards, including 239 through the air.
“That’s what we expect from Chad,” Huskies coach Rod Carey said. “We got caught in a couple personnels today, where he wasn’t supposed to be in, but he had to be in – plays maybe he hadn’t repped, but he takes it upon himself to know them. He lined up perfectly and executed them perfectly. That’s what we’ve come to expect from him.
“He’s determined. He has a faith that is unwavering in his life, and he’s leaned on that when times are tough. That shows in how he plays.”
