Sycamore Chamber hosts meeting with Rep. Randy Hultgren

U.S. Rep. Randy Hultgren, R-Plano, recently met with the Sycamore Chamber, member businesses and community leaders at the DeKalb County Community Foundation in Sycamore. The discussion focused on higher education reform, economic development, job creation, business tax breaks, and supporting local businesses on a federal level. Representatives from Sycamore public schools, Kishwaukee College and Northern Illinois University expressed concern over the fallout from the repeal and reform of DACA. Hultgren empathized and encouraged those in attendance to send personal stories about the effects of DACA reform and other local projects that are strengthening local job creation/economic development in order to make a difference in Washington.[]
